Boat Ramps

Boat ramp at Torrumbarry Weir Holiday Park

The park has one boat ramp on the downstream side of the weir. It is included in your stay and is used by guests and by the council. There is also a public ramp nearby on the upstream side, but that one is off park grounds and is not controlled by the park.

Any craft can launch from the park ramp. Tinnies, ski boats and kayaks all go in here.

The weir splits how the water gets used. Downstream is the fishing side, and upstream is where the boating, water skiing and jet skiing happen.

On the fishing side, people catch Murray cod, golden perch (yellowbelly), redfin, silver perch and carp. The Murray cod closed season runs from September to November, and you need a Victorian recreational fishing licence, which the park does not sell.

There is no fish cleaning station, and no jetty or pontoon. A boat trailer is included at no extra charge on your site, but space is limited. Caravan and boat storage in the park is only available to annual and long-term siteholders.
