Electric Barbecues

No kiosk, but the camp kitchen at Torrumbarry Weir Holiday Park has free barbecues

There's no kiosk or shop on site at Torrumbarry Weir Holiday Park. The nearest fuel, ice and bread are at the BP Torrumbarry roadhouse, about 10 minutes away, open 6am to 7pm daily. What the park does have, in the camp kitchen, is a set of built-in barbecues, free to use. If you want more choice, Gunbower and Leitchville are about 15 minutes away with a pub, a cafe and a butcher.

Free to use. Picnic tables are in the camp kitchen area, which suits a park where the managers are usually out doing something else rather than sitting behind a desk. The speed limit through the park is 5 km/h.

The camp kitchen is lit at night on light timers and stays open right through the year, not just over summer. Staff clean the plates each morning and scrapers are supplied, so the barbecues don't turn into a job for whoever cooked last. The camp kitchen is one of the things guests mention most about staying here, along with the location and the serenity. As the park describes it: "relaxed vibe, boating, great facilities, excellent spot."

Email the park first if there's anything to check before you arrive, the phone's really for on-the-day things.
